RADO STAR PRIZE INDIA 2019

Rado is delighted to announce the inaugural Rado Star Prize India. Rado is looking for the next generation of design talent and will officially announce the call for entries for the first India edition of the Rado Star Prize during a special event; India Art Fair from Jan. 31st – Feb. 3rd, 2019. It’s a great opportunity for young designers to launch their career on the international stage.

DESIGN WITH TIMELESS APPEAL

As the Master of Materials, Rado is known for its pioneering use of high-tech materials to create watches designed to look good for a lifetime. These materials – as well as design – are the essence of Rado. This year’s theme focuses on the idea of design as something enduring, long-lasting and versatile. Permanence overcomes obsolescence as we look for designs that will prove their timeless appeal.

10 finalists will be selected by a panel of design industry professionals. The winner will receive in prize money of INR 3,00,000 and a Rado watch. The winner and finalists will have the opportunity to display their concepts at the next Rado event. An additional Public Winner will be chosen by visitors to the event and will receive a Rado watch.

INDIA ART FAIR

Taking place annually in the capital city of New Delhi, India Art Fair reflects the country’s fast-developing art scene, as well as offering curated insights into the cultural landscapes of neighbouring states. The fair’s programme draws together galleries, artists, private foundations, arts charities, artists’ collectives, national institutions, cultural events and festivals. It aims to enable both local and international audiences to engage in innovative ways with the cultural history and development of the South Asian region.
