Dining Tree

Yeung Ka Yip

The relationship between the sun and human psychology and physiology is a close one. It is certainly a catalyst for Seasonal Affective Disorder, especially in northern countries. The ‘Dining Tree’ is specifically designed to help with this problem. Inspired by pine trees, the design combines planting, artificial daylight and table functions, with the green plants relieving moodiness when night falls. The evergreen pine symbolises longevity, eternity and immortality, and through ‘Dining Tree’, aims to provide a ray of energetic light to brighten the gloomy days.
