Hakim El Kadiri has been responsible for product development at Rado since 2011. His technical and marketing background and passion for the beautiful things in life, such as design, art and photography, inspired him to join the watchmaking industry. For Hakim, watchmaking is a field where the creation of beauty is ever present, merging innovation, design and technology.
Principal Amoia Studio
Samuel Amoia's passion for interior design originated with his extensive international travel, which has allowed him to see and experience first-hand some of world’s most prestigious living environments. Amoia has worked for such industry leaders as Ian Schrager and Hotels AB (Andre Balazs). Amoia has been named By VOGUE magazine as “one of the Young Interior Designers to watch” and has most recently received the “Rising Talent” award by the prestigous Parisian Maison & Objet Fair. Amoia has recently designed the new Delorenzo gallery space on Madison Avenue, and working on the exclusive Itz'ana Hotel and Residences in Belize, and several other high end residential and commercial projects.
Kim Markel received the Rado Star Prize in 2016 for her objects made from discarded plastics, the Glow Collection. Kim earned BXA and MS degrees from Carnegie Mellon University, in both public policy and art. Prior to beginning her own creative practice, she worked for various federal, state, and city agencies developing environmental, health, and energy policy. Today, Kim works out of her Hudson Valley, NY based studio where her work focuses on the use of recycled materials and experimental processes.

For over 18 years as force MAJEURE, formerly Raison Pure's Director of Communications in Paris and based in New York since 1999, Odile merged the commercial and the artistic together in the communication of design. In May 2007, she co-founded Gallery R'Pure in New York, introducing the work of new and emerging furniture, lighting and object designers to the New York design marketplace. In 2011, Odile co-founded with Claire Pijoulat WantedDesign NYC . With her connection to design institutions, schools and museums, the design press, furniture showrooms, and a presence at international fairs in Paris, Milan and Miami, Odile continues to seek out and promote new creative talent.
Editorial & Brand Director, Metropolis magazine
Paul Makovsky is editorial and brand director of Metropolis magazine. He is a former managing editor of 2wice, and he held a Smithsonian Fellowship at the Cooper-Hewitt, National Design Museum, where he worked on the exhibition and catalog Mixing Messages: Graphic Design in Contemporary Culture. He has also served as a cocurator of the exhibition Knoll Textiles: 1945–2010 at Bard Graduate Center and contributed to the accompanying catalog (Yale University Press, 2011).
