The snug stone, inspired by Frederick Law Olmstead’s vision of Central Park as an endless painting, is partially upholstered with garden gate springs, producing a comfortable and uniquely delightful seat shifting motion. The homogeny of felt obscures the mixture of solid and pliable textures, and an experience only understandable through actual occupation. An abundance of these stones, at different heights and different sizes, encourage the user to discover their own place in the landscape they create. The wool is inviting, soft and warm, encouraging the sitter toward embraced exploration.
