GlowHerbs is a light planter for herbs to use at home. It contains acrylic sheets and UV LED light that projects from the bottom. The idea emerged from previous projects I worked on under the mentorship of Sabin Marcelis, ”Light Catchers”, where I used acrylic to pass sunlight through the logs. Here I have applied the technique of light and acrylic sheets to function as a planter to help grow herbs faster in homes that lack natural light. Most UV planters have one function, and the light is usually projected directly on the plant. However, GlowHerbs does not only light up the plant but it glows the entire room.

There are two windows on opposite sides of the acrylic to help create more light in the center of the planter, and it adds easy accessibility to pick the herbs or water them.
