ON TIME / TIME OFF

For its second edition of the Rado Star Prize UK, Rado is seeking the next generation of young designers, inviting them to respond to the theme ‘On Time / Time Off’. The theme explores two different ways design can improve life: by supporting busy, fast-paced habits and punctuality; or by allowing us to slow down, relax and create our own space. Rado is searching for innovative, cutting-edge design pieces that relate to either ‘On Time’, ‘Time Off’; or explore the relationship between them. This could be in either a conceptual sense or material approach. Product concepts will be considered from the fields of interior, product, industrial and technology design.

TWO CHANCES TO WIN

Ten finalists and one winner will be selected by a panel of design industry professionals. The Judges’ Winner will receive £5000 in prize money and a Rado watch. The Winner and finalists will have the opportunity to display their concepts at designjunction in London during London Design Festival September 2018. An additional Public winner will be voted for by visitors to designjunction and will receive a Rado watch.
The Rado Star Prize is now closed for entries.
The shortlist will be announced on Wednesday 27th June
