ANNOUNCING THE UK WINNERS
The Judges’ Winner is Joachim Froment, who impressed the judges with the clever design concept of his ‘0.6 Chair’. The 0.6 Chair is a robust, long-lasting dining and café chair with an efficient yet simple production process.
The winner of the Public Vote is Jasmine Craven-Huffer. Voted for by visitors to the Rado Exhibition at designjunction, The Moravian Collection takes direct inspiration from a stool designed in the 15th century by the Moravian Church movement.
DESIGN MEETS TIME
Rado is on the lookout for the next generation of young designers, inviting them to respond to the theme ‘Design Meets Time’. The timeless quality of a product, its longevity, or how long a product takes to make: all of these aspects have an impact on the design process and choice of materials. Rado is searching for innovative, cutting-edge design pieces that relate to time in either a conceptual sense or material approach. Product concepts will be considered from the fields of interior, industrial and technology design.
